Holiday daily products on sale now

Instructors greet guests outside the new Sahale Lodge at Mt. Hood Meadows for their lessons. Daily lift tickets, lessons and rentals for the holiday time frame can now be purchased online. Meadows has made available inventoried daily products for the December 21 through January 3 time frame. This will allow those planning to ski or snowboard at Meadows over the holiday the ability to reserve and pay for these date-specific products.

Looking at the slopes from the magnificent Waterfall Room in the new Sahale Lodge at Mt. Hood MeadowsWe are so grateful for this snow that will give us the opportunity to launch our season. Our snow harvesting and grooming teams are masterfully moving parking lot snow to our lifts to build out our mazes which will be significantly spread out this season. The forecast is even more promising to be able to open more lifts and terrain than we normally have at this time of year and that too is a real blessing.

In the summer of 2014, Mt. Hood Meadows grooming and vehicle maintenance crews teamed up to build a high-capacity snow trailer to transport snow. They gutted a snowcat, and built the aluminum frame hydraulic bed on the chassis. No one knew then how critically important that snow hauler would become for a snow-starved 2014-15 season, and for seasons to come. The innovation is credited for being able to open terrain that season that would not have been possible with the skimpy snowpack. Snow harvesting and transporting was born.

Hood Meadows Lift Operations department is responsible for the safe uphill transport of our guests and team members,” says Lift Ops Manager Cody Howe.  With the social distancing and safety protocols brought on by COVID, there will be some additional challenges this season, requiring the cooperation of our guests who share the responsibility to help keep us all safe.
