Liability releases are not new to the ski industry - Mt. Hood Meadows has required those taking lessons or renting equipment to sign a liability release for decades. This season, Meadows will also require those purchasing day tickets to sign a release and offer a $20 opt-out fee for those that don’t want to sign the release .

(Mt. Hood, OR — October 20, 2022) — Mt. Hood Meadows announced plans to open the 2022/23 winter season on Friday, November 25 - the day after Thanksgiving. The resort intends to launch into daily operations, conditions permitting - and operate through April 29, 2023 for an impressive 148 days scheduled. Night operations are scheduled to launch December 16 five nights a week (Wednesday through Sunday evenings) through the middle of March. The hourly operational schedule changes during holidays and is posted on the resort website.
