Time: 9 AM-4 PM
Location: Mt. Hood Meadows

Each year Portland Global Initiatives teams up with local businesses to raise money and awareness for the global water crisis. The Ski and Ride for Water event helps ensure more communities around the world receive clean and safe drinking water.

Nearly one billion people around the world do not have clean drinking water, and 2.6 billion still lack basic sanitation. World Water Day, celebrated annually on March 22nd, was established by the United Nations in 1993 to focus attention on the world’s water crisis, as well as solutions to address it.

Portland Global Initiative's celebration of the 2016 World Water Day will include an annual Ski and Ride for Water event on Saturday, March 19th. Join Mt. Hood Meadows for skiing, riding, competitions, raffles and fun!

Lift tickets will be offered for a discounted price of $59 for those who pre-register. Season Passholders, pay only $20 to participate in the vertical feet competition or just come play at the mountain!
