Commercial Filming and Photo Shoots at Mt. Hood Meadows

Mt. Hood Meadows has been the focus of many commercial films and photo shoots over the years. Most notably are the videos and feature films shot by prominent ski and snowboard video companies and magazines, but Meadows has also hosted major feature film productions. 

The beauty of our permit area and the surrounding panoramic views make Mt. Hood Meadows a preferred location for filming and photo shoots. The Mt. Hood National Forest is one of the most diverse and stunningly beautiful areas in the country. Mt. Hood is America's most photographed mountain (and second in the world to Mt. Fuji), so no wonder filming here is so popular.

Because we are on forest service land, a permit is required for any commercial filming or photo shoots. Generally, if you are collecting imagery on forest service land to sell or promote a product or service with the intention of generating revenue, a permit is required. We work closely with the forest service to administer your permit request here at Mt. Hood Meadows. That not only expedites the process, but also provides you with a full menu of support services Mt. Hood Meadows can provide, including transportation of equipment, talent and crew for your production, catering services, EMT services, location scouting and more.
