Gated Access Areas

Heather

Open Moon Bowl through lift line.

Stay out of roped off drainages. Roped-off creek holes are large and very dangerous. Also many smaller creek holes exist at the bottom of slopes. Smaller creek holes may be unmarked. Ski with caution. Ride with a buddy. Enter through gates only.

The terrain above the highest open gate is closed.  Hiking or otherwise accessing terrain above the highest open gate will result in loss of pass.

Private Reserve

Likely for Thursday - Greater than 50% chance, Conditions Permitting

The Private Reserve gates access expert only terrain. We strongly recommend that you have knowledge of the area, ride with a buddy, keep your buddy in sight and that both you and your buddy wear an avalanch beacon, carry a shovel and probe and know how to use these tools. You will be riding in avalanche terrain and will encounter cliffs, creeks and waterfalls that may not be marked. Rescue will be extended. As always, only enter through open gates, ride within your ability and know before you go!

Surface Conditions
Groom is a thin layer of fresh snow over a hardpack surface. Off-piste: Wind affected fresh powder over skier-tracked snow, hardpack, and moguls. Stay out of closed areas and don't cross rope lines. Do not hike above the highest open gates in Heather. This puts you and staff at risk. Loss of pass will result.

Uphill travel allowed only on these designated routes accessing backcountry areas adjacent to the resort.

Practice deep snow safety - avoid tree wells and keep your partner in sight!.

General Comments
Any signs of Spring on the mountain have disappeared under accumulating fresh powder, lower freezing levels, and strong winds. The calendar reads March 23rd, but Mother Nature has different plans as the storm cycle gears up and strengthens today. By this evening it will be a full on blizzard up here with deep powder on the way. Be sure to bundle up and bring your Winter gear. It's cold, and getting colder, with wind chills dropping like a rock, heading for negative territory. La Nina has delivered .. might as well embrace that fact and enjoy the storms while they last. We're open until 4 PM today.

With our night skiing now done for the season, if you only have a Night Pass your fun doesn't have to end - upgrade to a Spring Pass! Check out our operational schedule for the rest of the season on our Hours of Operations page.
