Departing from the slope-side of the Sahale Lodge (see map at the bottom of the page), located at the main base area, this tour winds it’s way through gladed trails to the scenic Umbrella Falls. The route is approximately 3-miles and is suitable for beginner and intermediate snowshoers. The route meanders its way through mature conifer forests, following the headwaters of the Hood River into glades and through a beautiful, snowy landscape with Umbrella Falls being one of the highlights of the tour.

The full tour package includes 2-hour guided excursion, snowshoe rentals with walking poles plus tips and local knowledge from your guide. Recommended personal items include a small backpack, water bottle, gloves, hat and sunglasses or goggles. It’s best to dress in layers to allow for maximum body temperature regulation when you’re running hot or cold, and are in varying weather conditions.

Tour: $30; Rentals: $15
