Our adventure-based activities are led by experts with a commitment to safety and an enthusiasm for sharing the outdoors with the next generation of explorers. Structured to provide plenty of active, outdoor-oriented excitement, our experienced staff welcomes kids aged 10-14 years for adventures ranging from a day mountain biking, to waterfall hikes, scenic chairlift rides and whitewater rafting. Campers build self-confidence and develop positive attitudes by learning to succeed at many new activities. By interacting with their peers, campers also learn the importance of participating with others and building successful relationships. We support and celebrate each camper's abilities and encourage our campers to be active, proud, daring, responsible, and cooperative. Campers are sure to have an exciting and memorable experience. When it comes to plotting the perfect summer for your kids, remember balance is important. Aim for a mix of environmental education and organized adventures that will give kids the skills and support needed to take their love of the outdoors well into adulthood. This education program is dedicated to fostering a connection between young people and the natural world and will provide the opportunity for participants to learn more about the environment on Mt. Hood including volcanoes, glaciers, waterways, plants and animals. Each educational session will be followed by a corresponding outdoor adventure such as hiking, rafting, and more. This unique combination fosters an appreciation for the environment, develops self-esteem, instills a spirit of adventure, and promotes teamwork, friendship, and a sense of preserving our natural resources.
